Persona currently provides email verification for us. When we move to a non-Persona system we'll need to decide: 1) Should we do email verification? 2) When should we do email verification? Force it immediately before they can use their account? After x number of actions taken on webmaker.org? Leave a really annoying banner on every page they visit, letting them know they haven't verified their email? 3) What about services that don't provide an email address? I'm thinking of Twitter, Facebook, and Google which may not depending on privacy settings.

1) Yes, but allow unverified users to perform a subset of actions a verified user can 2) Send verification emails to a user everytime they login 3) We're not using social services, so no worries here
