If this isn't a bug and was intended as a saftey feature then the limit of 4 is much too low. With modern widescreen monitors it's a waste of space to have it so restricted.

WFM on Fx30 Win8.1, set the both to 8 or else value works fine.

There can be more tabs, but it is limited by screenspace because of the fixed size and margins of the tabs. On my screen the max is 4 rows and 6 columns.

The height and width of the grid now adapt to the size of the window, so if the window isn't tall enough to show browser.newtabpage.rows rows, it'll show as many rows as it can, and similarly, if it's not wide enough to show browser.newtabpage.columns columns, it'll show as many as it can. The size of each tile in the grid is now also fixed, whereas before tiles grew and shrank depending on the window size. Can you elaborate on comment 0? Are you seeing different behavior from what I just described?

Drew, that is very much the case. Is there an overide for this? I could quite comfortably fit 5 columns on before. If the resolution is being detected to calculate how many windows are possible wouldn't it also be sensible to use it to calculate the size of the windows? As you can see here (http://i.imgur.com/VwhFfmX.png) there's quite a difference between my computer's resolution and the resolution of the windows. If they were the same, 5 columns would again be possible.

Is this fixed now? I've gone back to 5 columns in 32.0a2 (2014-07-21)
