FYI, I think this is with windows management? Or is it handled separately with Collection and Search?
Rocketbar steps are :
1. tap on rocketbar
2. do a search on "some"
3. long tap on an icon
4. hit home when on the overlay.

Another option is to :
1. tap on rocketbar
2. wait for the geolocation prompt
3. hit home

These actions are activities, which are part of the app. When you press home, we generally dismiss activities as well. Not really sure what else I can say, unless we want to change this.

Oh wow. Ya, that is generally the case for browser, Marketplace, etc. I'm not sure if that is what users expect?
Pinging UX team to see if they are ok with the current behavior.

bug 1013509 is tracking fixing this.
I'd keep this bug focused on fixing the add to homescreen prompt not dismissing when hitting home.

I feel that tapping the home button should return the user to home as much as possible. In these cases, I feel that the expected experience is to return to home not to just dismiss the confirmation dialogue.
In terms of dismissing the dialogue, I think it would be helpful for the dialogue to remain visible within the application when the user taps home and returns to the application again. However, I think we should only make this change if it can act consistently throughout the device. If some dialogues dismiss after returning home, we should probably keep the current behaviour which is to dismiss the dialogue and return home.
