Details |
Right-click on the web page (I was tuned to the URL above), in the pop-up menu
select "Save As...".
In the "Save As" dialog, double-click a directory name. The dialog will hang,
listing a (seemingly randomly selected) file name from the starting directory
over and over.
This bug has been in Mozilla ever since the first version I started using (0.6 I
think). In those versions, Mozilla segfaulted when the dialog went crazy. Now
Mozilla keeps its cool.
A few details which may or may not be relevant:
- The starting directory contains over 900 files and directories
- The directory double-clicked is empty
- There were 4 browser windows open
I made a snapshot of the dialog. If you supply an email address I will mail it
to you.
WFM with a current linux CVS build. Haven't seen this bug for a long time now.
Reporter: Please include build ID. You can add the image as an attachment to the
bug. (correcting typo in summary..)
Summary: "Sace As..." dialog showing rubbish → "Save As..." dialog showing rubbish
The version of Mozilla I'm using is 0.8.1. It came with SuSE Linux 7.2.
It shows its Build ID as all 0's.

jhrtweed@xs4all.nl, Mozilla 0.8.1 is very old. This bug has been fixed since May
22, 2001.
I'd strongly recommend updating to a newer build. You will find Mozilla much
more stable and faster.
