Using build 2001120508 on Linux shows all the available fonts when trying to set a default "Monospace" font. I'd expect to only see monospace fonts. The same applies to Serif and Sans Serif fonts. With build 2001120504 on Windows 2000, it works as I'd expect it to (ie. Monospace only lists monospace fonts etc.pp.).

I think this is a dup. Would be nice if X actually said which fonts are monospace..

Hm, in gfontsel, I can select "monospaced" as a "spacing" filter. Upon setting this, I only get monospaced fonts. However, I just noticed that not all my monospaced fonts are returned. But then again, it's just one, strange looking font (betsy flanagan) which isn't returned. I checked some more. Setting "monospaced" + "char cell" returns me all the fixed width fonts that I've got.
