It's almost as though we're not double buffering for some reason. The animated GIF is at the top of the page mentioned in the URL.

seems pretty sweet today.
Tried to verify using 1.27.99 Viewer builds, but page crashes viewer cross- platform. Will check for an existing bug...

Don't see any flashing anymore in any of these animated GIFs using the 1.27.99 builds of Viewer on Win32, Linux and Mac. However, several animated eyeballs are cut off (hard to explain) on Linux; will investigate and also write up as separate bug.
