From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.7) Gecko/20011229
BuildID: 0.9.7
Using Mozilla on a MS Exchange Server (German Langauge Pack) works, but it uses
a Folder "Trash" instead of the normal german Name "Geöschte Objekte" and it
uses "Draft" instead of "Entwürfe" and "Send" instead of "Gesendete Objete".
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. create new account to german imap exchange service
2. see in outlook new folders like "Trash" beeing created
Actual Results: it is creating those folders
Expected Results: I expect it to use the Existing folders or at least allow me
to specify the name of those secial Folders by picking one out of the list of
available folders.

This is also true with French localized Lotus Domino R5.

This is true in English, too.
Trash = Deleted Items
Some of the defaults don't work but can be changed in the Copies & Folders
option (e.g. Sent = Sent Items) but there's no override for Trash or Inbox.
(Build 2002051006 on WIN2k)
OS should be "All"

With "trash", it is not a matter of localization. It is simply not possible to
specify the name for the trash folder.
For sent mail and drafts I can specify the location (=choose an IMAP folder),
but not for trash. It should be possible to choose a folder for the trash (for
exmaple, put deleted mails into "Deleted Items" folder.

I think the localization is referring to Exchange (Outlook), not Mozilla, since
it doesn't call Trash "Trash." What's needed is to map Trash to the real trash
folder used by the server (if it has one). RFC2060
(ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc2060.txt) only mentions the special folder
"INBOX" so this should be the only name the Mozilla assumes is available.
This seems to be similar to bug 112657 (and several others) as well.

Bug 27785 deals with interop issues with MS Exchange and various other mail
servers that use a name other then "Trash." There's a work-around for the Sent
folder by changing the settings in "Copies & Folders/Place a copy in:" to point
to the "Sent Items" folder on Exchange; the same for "Drafts" and "Templates."
