Details

Most of the preferences used by Mozilla all originate from the base of the profile directory. However, the mailnews folder path preferences all use full path names rather than relative. The consequence of this is that profile cannot be moved to another folder location on the disk or to another profile without manually editing the prefs.js file. I am currently seeing this with IMAP mail folders. While this wouldn't be a problem. The filter file is under those directories as well and they don't transfer unles you copy those folders and hand edit the prefs.js file.
