Details
After finally getting all the env vars set, it began to compile.
Well, up until; it couldn't cd to mozilla\coreconf
I cheated to get past that, but later discovered that it failed to
cd to mozilla\security
I think that some directories were forgotten in the source distribution
mozilla-19981008.tar.gz
If I'm wrong, could you point me to a correction? thnx

Make sure that you are setting the environment variable
NO_SECURITY=1. This should fix your problem.
