jsavory: Is this something we still want with the new list styling? Also, if we want to add this back in, this limits our ability to improve the search algorithm in the future.

If the visual highlighting comes at the expense of the search algorithm then I would remove it. I think its much more important to have better search results than contextually see what you're typing. Thanks!
