Description: Links that user has visited before remain unchanged in color. This is different in every other browser I've used, which change link color from blue to purple, with purple indicating it has been visited before. Alison can I get your opinion here? Not sure this should block, but it's definitely odd. Note: I checked this on my Android device, and Firefox for Android behaves the same.

It would be more user friendly that changing link color to indicate the site has ever been visited. NI UX for their opinion about this behavior.

From UX triage: We would expect the link to be purple as well. I would think this is either a website's css style or we are ignoring the website's a-visited color css style. Thanks for pinging the UX team!

This has been the case since version 1.0. It's because we disable global history in Gecko and track history in Gaia instead so Gecko doesn't know which pages have been visited in order to apply the visited style. There was some work going to implement this in bug 870262 but it seems to have stalled.
