Seems that either the nested <ul> tags on Slashdot's comments page breaks out of the main comments table, or something else I can't fathom is going on, but the page is most definitely unreadable, due mostly to the fact that the background goes from white to black. However, the first comment does display correctly. (Note: Present on the native win32 viewer.exe, mozilla.org november 2 debug build; could not be tested with xpviewer because of current bustage.)

Summary: Rendering barfs on Slashdot comments → NGLayout does not layout Slashdot comments properly
Unfortunately the bug is still ocurring for both me and Jason Kersey <kerz@en.com> with the mozilla.org November 4 (directory) debug win32 build. I suspect this is a layout bug - nested <ul> tags or some such. Screenshots are available at http://mozilla.asimov.net/ngl/bugs . Note that the main page renders OK, but comment pages are horribly broken.

Looks like either the parser or layout is the first line culprit here...

Appears fixed using 11.30.98 build of xpviewer, checked on Win98; thus, marking verified. (hoserhead@bigfoot, if you believe this conclusion is erroneous, could you please re-open this bug with your comments at your earliest convenience? Thank you!)

This bug was fixed for a long while, but has now resurfaced (12-07 win32 build). This time, though, it's a bit worse: slashdot's front page is broken. Links are clicking this time, though.
