Using feb22 commercial trunk Not a new issue, but didn't see a bug about it. Sorry if this is a duplication. When in a standalone message window and using navigation to go to next unread, when there are no more unread messages in the current folder we do indeed show the cross-folder navigational confirmation dialog. So you get the impression cross-folder navigation is going to work. However, upon OK to the confirmation dialog we don't load any message, we don't move to the next/unread folder. 1. Go to the Inbox of a mail account where there are unread items in both the inbox and another mail folder on the same account. 2. Open a message in the inbox to a standalone message window. 3. From the standalone window, use Next(Unread) button to navigate through the unread items in the inbox. 4. When there are no more unread items in the inbox, click Next, see that we show the cross-folder confirmation dialog "Advance to unread message in..." and confirm OK. Result: nothing happens. Standalone message window doesn't load next message, doesn't advance to the next folder.
We should either have the cross-folder navigation work in the standalone window or suppress the cross-folder/account navigation dialog altogether in the standalone window. If the dialog wouldn't appear, user wouldn't expect to cross folders.

We should match the behavior when using the Next button from Three Pane Mail window with preview pane open, which is to, upon OK to the confirmation dialog, move to the next folder and load the first unread message.
Discussed at 3/4 Mail & News bug mtg with Mktng, Eng., and PjM. Decison was to plus bug as a P2.

accepting, since I have a patch.

Comment on attachment 75345 [details] [diff] [review] improved patch, more comments, more cleanup. this is flawed. bienvenu points out that we need to wait for the folder to load, before we can find the unread message. (at least with imap). this is how SelectFolder() works in the 3 pane js.
