Go to this page (just a generic AOL page) and click on the banner advertisement. The URL for the ad banner probably looks something like this: http://ads.web.aol.com/link/ number /aol You'll get an error from AOL's web server saying something about a "missing cookie." Now go back (hit the back button) and click on the ad banner again. This time, their redirect CGI works (presumably accepting a cookie that hadn't been sent the first time).

I just tried this and did not get any error message -- I clicked on the add and it came up just fine. But it was not the add mentioned in this report. So I decided to go to that add page directly. In that case I did indeed get the message indicated. But since I didn't come there through a link, it might well be that that page is expecting something that I wasn't giving it by going to it directly. Furthermore, I then brought up the 4.5 browser and went directly to that add page. Again I got the error message. So this is apparently normal behavior for this page. Therefore closing the bug report out as INVALID.

Changing all Networking Library/Browser bugs to Networking-Core component for Browser. Occasionally, Bugzilla will burp and cause Verified bugs to reopen when I do this in a bulk change. If this happens, I will fix. ;-)
Bulk move of all Networking-Core (to be deleted component) bugs to new Networking component.
Component: Networking → Cookies
