Using mar20 commercial trunk on Mac OS 9.2 and Mac OS 10.1 Works fine for me with win98 and linux rh6.2 File|Save As|Template on a selected POP message in mail window doesn't work. Message is not saved to the templates folder (located on same account). Saving to template from the compose window does work. Steps: 1. Open a POP account and login, select Inbox, select a message in thread pane. 2. File|Save as Template. 3. Check the account's templates folder ( mine is set to the default, templates folder on the account) and see the message is not present. Result: Save to Template doesn't work for selected message from 3-pane or standalone message window. Expected: Message saved to templates folder. Workaround: user can use Copy message to the templates folder or use Edit as New and save to templates from compose window.

Reassign the bug. The work around seems to be fairly easy. But the idea of having the menu item should make this feature work on mac. Nominating this nsbeta1. The branch builds don't work too.

Discussed in mail news bug meeting. Decided to minus this bug.

I tested stand alone message window, and 3 pane, on mac os x. but in a debug, mozilla, mac os x mach-o build. esther, if opt works for you, can you mark WFM?

WFM too, on mac osx 10.2 with 20030318 commercial trunk build. POP account with account Template folder the default location. Tested with New Profile and existing profile. 3-pane and stand alone
