STR_1:
1. Open url in a new tab: data:text/html,about:newtab
2. Select all text on page, drag and drop it to urlbar
(bonus - there's already bug, but you can continue)
3. Add bookmark with url "about:newtab", move it in bookmarks toolbar, enable bookmarks toolbar
4. Drag bookmark created in Step 3 to urlbar
AR: Url I dropped into urlbar appears in urlbar. That's all.
ER: At least some logic. I.e. Either X or Y or Z
X) about:newtab should load in current tab
Y) All "about:" urls shouldn't load in current tab when I perform STR_1 (e.g. with "about:home")
Z) All urls shouldn't load in current tab when I perform STR_1 (e.g. with "http://example.org")
Notes:
1) Given the fact that Firefox has no native way to unload tabs and no native way to kill content
process of current tab, user has to use workarounds like STR_1 in order to save at least some RAM
2) Currently browser doesn't use logic at all: it's not clear why it discriminates url "about:newtab"
so badly, while allowing other "about:" urls. Options (Y) and (Z) are way more reasonable.
This is inconsistency in urlbar behavior, because the rest of browser works correctly:
bookmarks sidebar creates bookmark when I drop url "about:newtab", tabs toolbar loads url in
current tab when I drop url "about:newtab" on that tab. Only location bar is illogical.
