Expected results: Thunderbird should have 1) turned the url into a hyperlink automatically; 2) terminated the hyperlink before the space or return; 3) terminated the hyperlink at its first character without extending it to the line above or to a preceding space. Thunderbird should treat urls and hyperlinks intuitively the way Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, openoffice do. Ctrl-shift-K to terminate a hyperlink is unintuitive and a bother because the user wants to make hyperlinks of the vast majority of urls, and wants them automatically terminated by a return or space at the beginning and end of the url. NO URL contains a space or return, so Thunderbird should behave accordingly.
