- Make sure "browser.urlbar.quantumbar" is set to "true" in about:config
Affected versions
- Nightly 67.0a1
Affected platforms
- Win10 x64, macOS 10.14, Ubuntu 16.04
Steps to reproduce
- Launch Firefox
- Start to type a longer search string in the URL bar (ex. michael jackson i)
- Observe the search suggestions
Expected result
- Search suggestions should show the exact string text that was typed in the URL bar
Actual result
- After a few words when entering another letter the search suggestion text gets additional letters added. See image attached.
It also happens with other longer search strings ex: "how do i search for a"
Additional notes
- The issue affects Quantumbar only, I didn't encounter the issue in Awesomebar
