In the Bookmark Manager of Mozilla 1.2a (Build 2002011014): 1. Sort the list of bookmarks, by clicking on the field header at the top. 2. Repeat step 1 a few times with different fields, to ensure reproduction of the bug. 3. Open the View menu. Expected Result: The menu option for the current sort order should be checked. Actual Result: "Unsorted" is sometimes checked, even when a sort is active.

Comment #1: Not quite. Bug 77411 involves the sort being reflected within the bookmark pulldown menu and in the sidebar. Bug 64272 involves new sorting features within the pulldown menu. This bug, as shown in the newly uploaded screenshot, shows that the sort option is identified on the table headers, but not being reflected as a selected option in the "View" menu of the Bookmark Manager.

This is a better screenshot of the bug in question. It shows that the bookmarks are sorted correctly, and as a result, is not a duplicate of 139396. It's related to the fact that the display does not correctly identify which sort is being performed on the bookmarks. In the red circled menu option, you will see that the list is "Unsorted". However, the blue circled triangle identifies that the bookmarks are sorted descending by name. Both of these are incorrect, since the list is sorted by Ascending name.

Reopening (since the bookmarks actually do sort in this case) and resummarizing to help avoid confusion. Also, changing priority to minor. Note that in bug 139396 comment #8 does show this problem in a different manner (although it was meant to show that the bookmarks are not sorted at all.) In that case, the table header for the bookmarks indicates no sorting, while the menu indicates sorting by bookmark.

This is the same issue as described in bug 139396 comment #8, but to avoid morphing bug 139396, I'll confirm this one. Marking as dependent on getting sorting working (I have a feeling that when bug 139396 is fixed, this one will be too). Confirming, and adding ui keyword
