Not sure if this is a bug or by design, but here goes. I'm using Mozilla 1.1 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826. First create a test case for yourself: 1. Create a Yahoo email account for yourself. 2. Send an email to this account that has an attachment. The attachment should be a non-image file, maybe a zip file. 3. Check the Inbox of the Yahoo email account for this email. 4. Click on the paper clip image. 5. Click on the 'Download Without Scan' link. 6. You are presented with a file download dialog. 7. Send another email to this account that has an attachment. The attachment this time should be a jpg or gif file. 8. Check the Inbox of the Yahoo email account for this email. 9. Click on the paper clip image. 10. Click on the 'Download Without Scan' link. 11. The image is displayed in the browser. I expected to get the file download dialog. Please let me know if this is a bug or a feature. If it is a feature, I will have to code a work around for my company's software for this behavior. Thanx.
Bill, could you possibly test 1.2alpha? This could be bug 98360 that you're seeing....
Boris, I believe this is bug 98360 that I am seeing. I had a hunch that content-disposition was being ignored, just couldn't prove it. Sorry for logging a dup, but when I did a search for content-disposition I did not see this bug listed. I probably selected the wrong Component. I will check this 1.2alpha.
Boris, this problem is resolved in 1.2alpha. So I would say you can kill this bug. Thanx.
Bill, the default search only searches still-open bugs... That often leads to this sort of situation. And don't feel bad about the dup; that happens to everyone all the time. Thanks for testing with 1.2a and verifying that the problem is fixed. ;) That's the first time someone other than me has tested and let me know. ;) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 98360 ***
