User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/103.0.5060.114 Safari/537.36 Edg/103.0.1264.49
Steps to reproduce:
- Open a Compose message window.
- Start writing the first letter of a name from my address book.
Actual results:
Nothing
Expected results:
I was on TB91 and TB102 before on Win10Pro. Everything worked. I never imported any address books, they just worked automatically with autofill when composing a new message.
Now TB102 and Win11Pro autofill and/or search contacts do not work automatically. Imported vCard contacts from two Gmail accounts. One (as personal address book, default) does not work - neither search nor autosuggestion, although I can see all these contacts in the Address Book. Another works.
I can't find TB91 installation file to try to revert to a previous version. Will have to use Windows Mail instead, as without auto-suggestions TB is completely unusable.

Do you see this with Help | Troubleshoot mode? Do you get any errors in the Error Console (Ctrl+Shift+J)

Do you see this with Help | Troubleshoot mode? Do you get any errors in the Error Console (Ctrl+Shift+J)
Last night I tried adding my accounts again from scratch. Yahoo and Outlook didn't suggest adding their Address Books. Gmail accounts however did this. Since my Gmail address book is used for Yahoo (and Outlook) as well, I'll live. Also, last night I was able to get auto-suggest from Gmail address book when composing a message in Yahoo.
I've just had a look at the Error Console and the only line that I could understand and that related to contacts was this: about:addressbook : Unable to run script because scripts are blocked internally. However, I did not block anything and do not run any scripts in TB. I am not a programmer and the only change in the settings was adding signature to one of the accounts. Plus I don't use any themes or plugins.
So, I'd say the issue is partially solved with the exception of Yahoo/Outlook. In Yahoo my contacts are synced from Gmail. Not sure if this is the problem. But since now in TB I can get auto-suggest throughout the accounts from at least Gmail address book, I am fine.

-> WFM per comment 2. Thunderbird can't connect to yahoo and outlook address books (never could, if so, through some add-on)
