User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/102.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Archive a message that is in the INBOX (IMAP)
Actual results:
- The message is archived
- The INBOX is corrupted
Clicking on a INBOX message shows the message or the "source" of another message or the "source" of multiple messages.
The "source" means the same content as when typing CTRL+U on a message.
Expected results:
No corruption should happen.
I've been able to recover from corrupted state by "repairing" the INBOX and then by "compacting" the INBOX.
I'm using Thunderbird 102.0.2 (64 bits) on Windows 10 (64 bit)

I've been able to recover from corrupted state by "repairing" the INBOX and then by "compacting" the INBOX.
That is the correct order -- repair, then compact. Just be aware that this often works, but not always. The corrupted message(s) may magically reappear, at the expense of one or more good messages in the vicinity that were otherwise OK.
See Bug 1778241 for my running commentary on this...
Thanks for your comments. I have disabled automatic compacting.
