On some sites I'm seeing double tap to zoom going wrong: For example, see the attached recording of daringfireball.net
Perhaps of note is that I have screen scaling on?
Included in that is a contrast with Safari: note safari also zooms quite a bit smoother.

I was able to reproduce if I set my screen scaling to "more space" like you mention.

I'm on Firefox Mobile for Android, and double tap and then sliding my thumb up or down doesn't work to zoom. Nothing happens. It's CRITICAL because most of the time I'm using one hand to browse on my phone. I don't want to have to awkwardly find my second hand to zoom in on contents on a page. I don't want to scale text, I literally want to zoom in on the page.
