User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:70.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/70.0

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install bitwarden extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/bitwarden-password-manager/
2. Click on the top bar button
3. Click "Add login" or the + button at the top right
4. Click on the "Type" drop down at the top

Actual results:

The parent popup containing the drop down disappears while leaving the drop down contents floating

Expected results:

Parent popup remains so that adding a new thing can continue.

I am getting this problem on NixOS 22.05 with Wayland (WM: Sway). Everything else seems to be working as it should and Firefox is indeed running on wayland mode.

Can you try mutter compositor?

Yeah perhaps, might close this though because it seems like the issue I originally cloned it from (I apparently do not have permission to say anything in that issue, for reasons unbeknownst me) seems to be the place to be

I reported that bug and I closed it because wlroots 0.16 (then git version) worked. I assume this is a wlroots' bug (again) and they have fixed somehow in the latest release.

Anyway try test mutter if you can't test wlroots 0.16.

On the FF Nightly 109 provided by mozilla-overlay I'm still receiving the same issue.

Bitwarden works as intended on GNOME 42.1, the dropdown doesn't erase the parent popup.
