For some reason, the win32 viewer.exe as of december 7 will stop loading the above jpeg and show only black. It appears to stop at 8192 out of 15216 - or at least the status bar tells me so. It works fine, however, in xpviewer.

I don't see the GNU problem any more, but I do see this problem at a couple of different places. A good example of this is www.mozilla.org/status: everything just stops once 8192 bytes are loaded. Viewer will just sit there saying "progress 8192 out of blah" and not do anything - 00 displays in throbber. This can be seen at css.nu and just plain mozilla.org as well.
