After that, it is no longer possible to create new messages with Mozilla Mail because it freezes right after pressing the button compose. I tried to reinstall but the problem persists. That is why I think it might be a problem with the user profiles. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Mozilla Mail 2. Click Button "Compose" Actual Results: Mozilla freezes and needs to be "killed" Expected Results: Open the Mail Composition Window

Needless to say that this happens if you use for example Reply-Button or the Menu to create a new mail. Reading works fine. Searching seems not to work either. I will attach a screenshot.

florian, can you attach the java applet that caused you to kill the app. Then I can try to reproduce this with a current build.

The applet mails the order of a german webshop to the receiver. Unfotunately this is the last step of the ordering process... I will have a look on the web page trying to gather some additional information the next day.

Sounds like XUL.mfasl got corrupted. Can you quit mozilla, then rename XUL.mfasl (located in your profile dorectory) and restart. Is the problem still there?

Indeed this had something to do with XUL.mfasl. I will mark the issue as resolved (invalid) and try to find out what caused the problems (the java applet I mentioned above). I will open a new one, if I can reproduce. Thank you very much for your help.
