Say you reorganize your bookmarks into folders and find that you have these two bookmarks which are the same. If you select the second of these, and try to delete it, the first one will be deleted instead. Also, somewhere along the line, I ended up with a folder containing three bookmarks. However, in the toolbar the folder contains the three entries plus a Fourth entry on top which says empty. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. the bookmarks do not seem to synchronize with the toolbar. There were some changes which I placed in the bookmarks window which I did not see in the toolbar, when I came to close the bookmarks window, I found that my changes had not taken effect. also, this bug form doesn't work properly. You can never enter a bug on the same page that you search for one. always have to open 2nd page

not quite the same, tho I guess if someone were to go into the code, they'd hopefully fix it all at once... I had 2 bookmarks, same name same URL same everything. No problems. Sounds like tho that someone tried to make the bookmarks smart, so smart it overrides the user... which becomes a problem when it's wrong... I dunno tho, the bookmarks are just occasionally messed up, and it's a miracle so many ppl have noticed it enough to be able to repeat it...

this bug is completely unrelated to bug 51683. The latter is only about the impossibility to map one uri with 2 different names. Reopening.
