Details

Running moz m11 on redhat 6.0, glibc2.1, kernel 2.2.13 When inputting text into a text box, pressing the 'Return' key does not advance the text input cursor to the next line. However, when you start typing, the new text does appear on the next line (as it should). However, becuase there is no visual feedback that the 'Return' keypress was successful, users will probably press it again, resulting the insertion of two line feeds. This only occurs at the end of a line that contains text. Pressing the 'Return' key on an empty line works as expected. This can be seen in the bugzilla submission form. -jason

There used to be several problems contributing to this bug. I believe joe fixed most of them, and 20106 is the only remaining problem. Assigning to kin, who can dup this if appropriate.

This is a dup of bug #10683, and has already been fixed. It is already in the daily builds and should appear in M12. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 10683 ***
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
Verified duplicate of bug 20106, not bug 10683 (which this bug is currently marked a duplicate of).
[VerifyDay] Update to my previous comment. The first reported mention of this bug is in bug 16715, and bug 19405 is also a duplicate, although bug 20106 has the most comprehensive comments (including the patch that fixes the bug).
