GNOME's High Contrast Inverse theme is meant to help people with limited vision
to use the environment. I assume mozilla's accessibility project has similar
goals. Yet, when I run Mozilla in GNOME 2.2's High Contast Inverse theme several
pieces of the UI are not visible. I will attach a screenshot that shows this.
Some examples are:
o The pull down menu in the addressbar is basically impossible to make out.
o The cross on the tab that allows you to close it has the same behaviour.
o Checkboxes in for an example the print dialog are extremely low contrast too.
This bug is remotely similar to the Windows bug 167912, but I want to file this
one since it is after all seen in an entirely different environment.

Notice that is extremly hard to make out the UI that shows where to press to
get the browser history pulldown menu (just to name one bug).

Checkboxes on this dialog are, ehh, hard to notice.

Moving to themes since Classic is supposed to pick up your GTK-theme correctly.

bryner starting to work on this. can someone do a check check to see if it is
still a problem?

Yes, it's still a problem, especially in the 'prelit' state - moving mouse or
the xul buttons/checkboxes/radio buttons, the text will be turn to be white text
on a white background. That's because mozilla's theme implemetation is slightly
different from gtk - mozilla does not change the text color in the 'prelit' state.

I can't reproduce with trunk/gtk2
o The pull down menu in the addressbar is basically impossible to make out.
o Checkboxes in for an example the print dialog are extremely low contrast too.
(fixed by bug 237535)
And this one should be all platform bug (I tried Windows)
o The cross on the tab that allows you to close it has the same behaviour.

We'd love to fix this - but doesn't meet the beta2 criteria (since it is an existing issue) so we will not block the release for it.
