Build 2000010509M13: NT4, Linux 6.0, Mac 8.5.1
Overview: The Access Key states Ctrl+D yet it should be "Del".
Additional Information:
- Windows, Ctrl+D does nothing and the "Del" key works.
- Linux, Ctrl+D actually deletes the message and the "Del" key does nothing.
- Mac, Ctrl+D actually deletes the message and the "Del" key does nothing.

Assuming I did it right, it may be done. My machine is currently building so I
couldn't test the line of xul i added. I'll post back here.

I checked in a key binding for the delete button such that hitting delete key
deletes the selected messages in the thread pane (assuming the thread pane has
focus). This is really bug #8985.
I'm leaving this bug open and using it to describe the fact that the menu under
Edit still says Ctrl-D for delete instead of del.

Ok, I am marking this fixed (as so many other 3-pane bugs, which is fixed but
not marked as such).
This now works for me on Windows 98: build 2001012304. It was confirmed that
this works on linux from rumstich@informatik.hu-berlin.de, build 2001012021.
Marking FIXED.

There are no mnemonics or accelerators for Delete under the Edit menu on Mac,
build 2001012311, but in Linux, we have (D)elete Folder Del, and on Windows
2000, we have (D)elete Folder Del. If Macintosh should have an
accelerator and/or a mnemonic (and judging from below it should have a
mnemonic), then this should be re-opened.
Okay, I'm brain-dead, Mac doesn't seem to use mnemonics ;-(.
If I read http://www.mozilla.org/mailnews/specs/misc/Accelerators.html
Correctly, 'No Delete key is shown for the Mac. "Del" for Win and Linux. Delete
menu item follows platform specific behavior. Forward delete for Windows and
Linux, and Backspace delete for Mac.'
Then this should be verified. I'll leave for you Ninoschka.
