Checked on 1/14 Win 98 build. Running with 16 bit colors, page does not load (hangs). Reopening bug.

Stop re-opening the bug. I'm running with the very latest top-of-trunk source which is not what you're running. Re-open it tomorrow if it still doesn't work. If you do re-open it then you need to be more specific about whether it is a Win98 only bug or whether it also fails on NT...

And I should point out that layout doesn't know or care about 16-bit, 24-bit, or 256 color mode which means it isn't even a layout bug...

chrisd - Win95 also sometimes acts differently. And since we are in Parity mode, really need this info: Does it happen on Win 95? 98? NT? Mac 8.5? Linux?

As I was instructed to test only on Win 98, I did not do cross platform testing. I have now tested on Win 95 and Win NT using the 1/14 build. Win NT displays correctly but Win 95 has same behavior problem as Win 98. Chris P. tested on Mac 8.5 and there is no problem. As suggested by Troy, I will test on the next build and if I have the same problem, I will then re-open the bug. Also, I understand that this is not a layout bug so after conferring with some engineers, it was thought that it should be categorized as a GFX component but since that is not an available choice, I have changed the component to "rendering".
