The request is for Thunderbird to try all the listed SMTP servers for an account before throwing an error. This reflects the current reality of users who are often travelling with laptops and use a variety of SMTP servers to send email based on location. I don't know if it's appropriate to lodge a similar bug against Thunderbird, but I'd like to make sure that the Thunderbird team has seen this idea and thought about whether or not they want it for TB 1.0. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
It's no need for a new bug, you can see that the same developer is assigned to both of them. And the problem is not Thunderbird specific. I just asked for a blocking flag on that bug, this way the developers will look if this is important enough to fix for Thunderbird 1.0. Marking this as duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 52384 ***
