Details

The backward adaptor doesn't provide a service manager interface when it calls NSGetFactory(). The MRJ plugin needs a minimal service manager, so it can use nsIMalloc to allocate the plugin factory.

Yes, I implemented a minimal service manager. It currently implements GetService for nsIAllocator and nsILiveconnect. I've started implementing a little 1 way LiveConnect (Java -> JS) using javascript: URLs.‡
