When at home I use my own SMTP server for outgoing mail. When at work I am restricted to using only the work SMTP server. Now it would be great if I could just configure Thunderbird with the two SMTP servers and have it use whichever was available. i.e. Thunderbird attempts to open an connection to each SMTP server and just uses the one it can connect to.
