This creates a major hassle when downloading to folders that are shared over a network. Downloaded files cannot be accessed from the network unless their permissions are manually set. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download a file to a shared folder using Firefox Download Manager. 2. Attempt to access that file from another computer on the network. You can also see how the permissions are not inherited by downloading a file into a directory that has security permissions set on it (for example, Read & Execute for Everyone) and then using the CACLS command on the file. The default permissions will be on the file, but not the permissions that are supposed to be inherited from the parent directory.
