User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.9.3 The priner friendly version is displayed in a mozilla window, but there is no way to send it to the printer. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.pay a bill at www.wamu.com 2.submit bill for payment & confirm 3.click on "printer friendly version" Actual Results: printer friendly version appears in a mozilla window, but there is no way to print it. That is to say, there is no menu or icon to send the page to the printer. Expected Results: Should display a print icon of some sort
This happens on a few browsers on the wamu site, a work around is to right click and select print from the menu. Make sure you enable popups for wamu.com in the tools menu as it will be in a new window and you want to make sure it's not blocked.
or you could use ctrl-p. fwiw it's not a tab, it's a button, and it's not entirely gecko's fault.

I have two examples where print does not work. The first is at morningstar.com when I ask to print my page (my portfolio) and the second is at H&R Block's secure web page for my payroll and try to print my pay receipt. You only print the top frame but not my pay information. If I invoke IE5 it prints lovely - however I would rather use mozilla for security.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. A sample page where this is a problem is: http://www.florahealth.com/flora/home/canada/products/R4771.asp?CategoryID=74&ImageFlag=0#R4771 I was forced to use IE to print this.

I am running Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 and still get the same problem. This is a potentially serious problem, IMHO.

This is > a potentially serious problem, IMHO. I don't agree. How can Firefox know that this page is destined for the printer ? It should use the "@media print" rule, see bug 115199. And if you need a print icon, you should add it to the toolbar - right click on it, and select "customize".
