(This bug imported from BugSplat, Netscape's internal bugsystem. It was known there as bug #329980 http://scopus.netscape.com/bugsplat/show_bug.cgi?id=329980 Imported into Bugzilla on 02/04/99 16:06) I have an IMAP folder that I cannot delete. On all platforms, I get the error "The mailbox does not exist" when I try to delete it. I'm using the Trash model.
Perhaps it doesn't exist? Have you tried unsubscribing to it? It's quite possible that you are subscribed to a folder that doesn't exist (perfectly valid in the mixed up imap world). We should probably handle this and try to unsubscribe somehow...
Valid? Probably? This is wrong and we should certainly handle it. If it doesn't exist, why is the program showing it to me? I shouldn't have to delete it, and then also unsubscribe to it. I can't unsubscribe to it anyway, because it isn't listed in the subscribe dialog. However, there is at another folder listed there, one that can't be subscribed to and doesn't show up in the folder pane. You got the mixed-up part right.

This is a fairly old bug. I'm not sure if it would make sense to move to target milestone Future or close out. We'd need to find a case where this happens when we try to delete a folder in this new codebase. What do you think, Scott?
I think that this should be closed out. If someone can create a sitution where an IMAP folder cannot be deleted with a current build then please reopen this or file a new bug.
