(This bug imported from BugSplat, Netscape's internal bugsystem. It was known there as bug #330855 http://scopus.netscape.com/bugsplat/show_bug.cgi?id=330855 Imported into Bugzilla on 02/04/99 16:19) True confession: I have about 3400 email messages in my Inbox. (No, this is not something I brag about!) Nonetheless, 4.0x supported my bulging Inbox just fine; 4.5 is choking. Inbox.snm gets corrupted, and suddenly it only shows the emails between 8/27/97 and (on one occasion) April 98 or (this time) February 98. Exiting, deleting Inbox.snm, and restarting solves this. I'm saving the most recent Inbox.snm for you to look at if you want.
Reassigning to chrisf in the belief that this is a backend problem.
Ekrock, You may want try removing the file 'Folder Cache 2' file which is located in your user profile folder (it's at the same level as your Netscape Preferences file). This file may also be corrupted. You can drag this file to the desktop and relaunch Communicator. Just a suggestion...
How could this be a backend problem? I use POP.
Batch reassigning chrisf's empty-TFV bugs to mscott and marking TFV 5.0
Not sure what we can do in 5.0 for this since this is all being rewritten.

Marking invalid for 5.0. We're going to have all new code (and bugs) for snm files.
