It was known there as bug #333614 http://scopus.netscape.com/bugsplat/show_bug.cgi?id=333614 Imported into Bugzilla on 02/04/99 16:28) Create a new group list Search in a phonebook (I was using the Netscape LDAP directory) for ONE person and make sure the returned list only has one person on it. I did a search for myself using my last name --- ROMIG. Add this person to the list by dragging their entry into the list --- you should be successful Do a search for someone where you know you will get multiple names returned. I did a search using the last name of JONES. Randomly add a few from the found set into the list by dragging and dropping --- you should be successful Go back and do a search for a name that you know will only retern one name --- I used the last name of HYDE. Add this person to the group list by dragging and dropping --- you should not be able to. So the first time you do a find that returns a single entry it allows you to add it to the group list but after that any found set that returns one name cannot be added to the group list.

UPD 2/4/99 Ran this again with 4.51 is still a problem. However the Netscape Phone book is now virtual and the problem doesn't show up. I used Yahoo directory searching for a specific name that would result in one listing Note: you don't have to do the search with multiple names to see this, just do another specific name searche resulting in single match and try to drag it. Will add this test case to test spec.
