Details

The vertical-align: middle in the above demo only works on the first line of text. The images are baseline-aligned on the second and third lines.
The same problem occurs with text-top align in http://www.webstandards.org/css/opera/valign2.html

Fixed. This was fixed when I landed the massive vertical-align fixup; note to testers: if you test on linux with code around this date note that you may not see the right thing because aspect scaled images don't render properly; turn on visual debugging to see that the boxes are all in the right spot
Verified fixed on Windows. I'm not marking it as verified because of Kipp's previous comment.
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
Fixed in March 26th Builds.
