Details
The vertical-align: middle in the above demo only works on the first line of
text. The images are baseline-aligned on the second and third lines.

Fixed. This was fixed when I landed the massive vertical-align fixup; note to
testers: if you test on linux with code around this date note that you may not
see the right thing because aspect scaled images don't render properly; turn on
visual debugging to see that the boxes are all in the right spot
