User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 After installing the latest version of Mozilla, the installer changes the file extension associations of .gif, .png and .jpeg without asking if the current associations may be changed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. associate .jpg to your favourite image editor 2. install Mozilla Actual Results: Double clicking on .jpg files in Windows Explorer desn't start my image software anymore, but Mozilla instead. Expected Results: Ask me if the file associations my be changed or not change it at all. I don't know why anybody might want to change file associations to the browser if an image viewing or editing software is already installed. This is what I do after each installation to get the associations back to Paint Shop Pro 5: Load a .reg file with the following content: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.png] @="PSP5.Image" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.gif] @="PSP5.Image" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jpg] @="PSP5.Image"
