Went to www.creaf.com Noticed that on WinNT 4.0, the drop down menu had the initial wording "Select a country". If you open the drop down, there are no entries to select from. On MAC, the wording display is "--------". When I tried to open the drop down menu, the system crashed with some debug information displayed on the screen. On LINUX, there is no drop down menu to select from at all. Par

Update: found while doing the "top sites" checking. Using the latest seamonkey builds available today 2/5.

claudius, could you try this with the latest build please? Thanks!
cross checking with the 990329 builds on NT and Linux and the 990326 build on Mac all platforms show the same behavior. That is, they all show the drop box, but clicking on the box shows only the title item "Picka country" and a separator line. Interestingly enough, it will let you select one of the invisble items but it won't launch the new site like it should. Checking with Nova RTM yielded a crash on NT after selecting a country. HTML snippet soon to come

I've provided the min testcase at the above url. Nova displays this fine and the menu items link to real pages as they should. The different platforms break this in different ways

Rick, The content model looks wrong. Each of the countries appears as a sibling to the select instead of as a child. The combobox appears under Linux and WIN32.

Corrected by changes to parsing engine.

I verified that the fix worked for WinNT 1999052808 and Linux1999052808 but on the Mac(same build), it still doesn't work. I imagine it may be a different problem now since the pop-up is populated but nothing happens when you select an item.

Claudius -- it would be better if you actually opened a new bug, rather than repurpose and old one. I'll do that in this case for you (#7587)

The problem is still there in the Win32 build 1999060408. As Claudius said, the menu is populated but nothing happens when an item is selected. Removed the [PP] marker (it's a cross-platform bug) and reopening. We may have a similar problem on wire.ap.org: select a site in one of the popup menus and click Go: nothing happens either.

Cleared the resolution of Invalid and CCd myself.
