RedHat 5.2, 2.0.36 kernel, fvwm The background for the intel page on other viewers & browsers is all white. On the intel page with the Linux viewer, the white background is only drawn behind the text that's laid out...there are big blotches of gray background in other areas.

There's nothing about this bug that's a layout bug. Rendering maybe, but layout certainly not. Layout is formatting and positioning of elements and it's all XP, so a display problem that appears on one problem only is almost certainly not layout

Would you please change the component on bugs instead of marking them invalid because the classification might be off? I'll eventually learn what is right (and from now on, I'll probably choose a different one as a guess for ones I'm not sure of to avoid this headache). Reopening, and OK, sure, rendering it is.

Just so this bug will get fixed, changing the component to layout and then assigning to default engineer for that component.

As the problem is described in 2/8 comments (for Linux), the white background is only drawn behind the text that's laid out. Using the 3/15 build on Linux, the behavior has not changed. Reopening bug.

It looks fine on a apr 6 build. It looks the same as the NT one. Can you please verify ? If it still looks messed up, make sure you updated your system as described in the email i sent you.

Ah...it looks OK to me if my apprunner width is wide enough to display the whole page, but if it's not (and I get a horizontal scroll bar to go further right), I still see the problem when I scroll right: the background which didn't get laid out on the initial load is gray, not white.
