User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050715 Firefox/1.0.6 SUSE/1.0.6-16 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050715 Firefox/1.0.6 SUSE/1.0.6-16 When you choose a set of fonts and select "always use my preferences for fonts", firefox no longer displays monospace fonts as requested by the web page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a web page that displays parts in a monospace font, commonly selected by the ubiquitous CSS statement "font-family: Courier New,Courier, monospace" 2. Go to Preferences -> Fonts&Colours, select fonts for the current encoding 3. Select "always use my preferences for fonts" Actual Results: The web page will loose its monospace areas. Expected Results: The browser should ignore the specific fonts selected by the web page (i.e. Courier) but still stick to the generic font-family "monospace", as a monospace font is part of the preference selection.
I tought the "always use my preferences for fonts" was supposed to override everything from the webpage? What if I don't want monospace at all, how can I override it ?

I cannot believe there are still new Firefox versions coming out that have this bug. It should have been fixed years ago, the main bug 79074 is five years old!
