Disabling the status bar, toolbars, or extensions didn't fix this problem. Rebooting didn't solve it either. I experienced the same thing under 1.5 beta as well. Does it also happen in the safe mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox) Did you first uninstall 1.0.7? Does the problem also occur if you first delete the install directory before installing the new version?

In fact, I believe it was the web development extension (which worked on 1.0.7) that was the problem. Unfortunately I can't remember which extension it was and I no longer have it installed.

But in any case, I'm running Firefox 1.5 final release now, and the latest version of linky, and I'm experiencing no problems. Whatever it was must have been fixed or resolved.
