The behavior described here is actually what we agreed to for mozilla. Alec, do you know when we're going to have title tips in the tree control? This would be nice for B1, but it seems dependent on the tree widget capabilities.

It's not essential but I would like to see Tooltips in for RTM.

M16 Linux 2000-050820 right now, when i mouse over widgets like arrows or folders there are tooltips showing up in mailnews. But if i mouse over the arrow an error displays in console: JavaScript error: line 0: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004002 (NS_NOINTERFACE) [nsIRDFCompositeDataSource.GetTarget]" nsresult: "0x80004002 (NS_NOINTERFACE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://messenger/content/mail3PaneWindowCommands.js :: FillInFolderTooltip :: line 729" data: no] The error does not display if i mouse over a folder; but untill i've actively selected a folder the tooltip only displays "0/???". Should this be filed as a separate bug?

sorry for the spam: Forgot to mention that (probably) because of the JS error, double-clicking twisties before a mailfolder has no effect. Have to double-click the folder itself to open the folder.

Yeah, it would be good as a separate bug against me. I'm, going to mark this fixed. As for the twisty, currently anything that has a tooltip requires a second click (buttons, folder items, twisties, etc). I'm able to use twisties in this way so I don't think the exception is causing the problem.

Build 2000-05-09-08M16: Win95, Linux 6.0, Mac 9.04 Verified Fixed. When the cursor is over the folder then the tooltip displays the number unread/total.
