Bug 314119 will land shortly, and users installing Firefox 2 will now get two tabs when they first start up; one will contain Firefox Start or their imported home page, the other (which will be in focus first) will point to one of two pages depending on whether or not their profile was new or had existed previously. The first run page should: - focus on 1-3 touchpoints about what makes Firefox great - have links to the release notes and other "more information" stuff - have a button that calls window.close() We'll need this for the RCs for testing.

I guess it's me, yes. Bug 314119 landed the changes which mean that on first run, instead of replacing the user's homepage, we actually open a second tab in which the first run page is loaded. Cool, huh?

Basically, we're going to do the following for Firefox 2: - /firefox/central will be the target of the "Getting Started" bookmark - /firefox/%VERSION%/firstrun will be a first run page for a specific version I'll file a new bug about the required changes to /central
