It would be nice to be able to build a filter in Thunderbird that pipes e-mail through a command line utility such as SpamAssassin and can take action on the result. Similar features exist in KMail and Evolution, which enable truly dynamic user-defined filters. Command line programs could take other actions, too, such as announce the message through a text-to-speech engine. This simple enhancement could open a lot of doors for customized mail handling.
Reproducible: Always
