Steps to reproduce: - Start an empty profile with only a history.dat file in it - Click History > Show in Sidebar Result: no imported history, only one page; the start page. But when I enter a search term it does find items in the imported history; although upside down (oldest items on top).

Not sure if the bug should have been filed in the Places component.

ria, in your steps to reproduce, is there a step missing? specifically, the step where you import history? or am I misunderstanding?

This bug is about automatically converting a present history.dat file to a places.sqlite file when there is not already an existing places.sqlite file in the profile.

ria, can you try again with a build made after my fix for #364325?
