March 11 Seamonkey builds, Mac 8.5/G3, Linux 5.2, optimized, viewer March 10 win98 optimized, viewer 1. Launch Seamonkey and load test case page: slip/projects/marvin/html/blockquote_cite.html • Blockquote / Q cite attribute is use is unclear, what should user experience be? HTML 4.0 spec unclear; need input from engineering to determine A) functional failure or not B) info to refine test case
Also bug applicable to use of cite for INS and DEL elements

Beth -- near as I can tell, the blockquote "cite" attribute has no display semantics. I checked the 4.0spec, Wilbur, etc.

I agree that it isn't clear in the spec in regards to offering any visual feedback. What would be cool is if we did a mouse over and the cite content was displayed.
